It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Hackworth (Connersville, Indiana), born in Richmond, Indiana, who passed away on December 6, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alton and Lelia Kay Vice Hackworth; his daughter Linda Thompson; and his siblings, John Hackworth, Geneva Kelly, Ruthanne Rutherford, Betty Sue Ashby and Linda Hackworth.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Compston; his children, Karen Oler (Mike) of Connersville, Paula Lee (Todd) of Connersville, Renee Smith (Tony) of Liberty, Ronald and Aaron Geisler of Connersville; his grandchildren, Athena Merz, Jessica Antico, Cesily Doub, Marcus Marcum, Sarah Doub, Michael Marcum, Nicholas Smith, Cainen Geisler, Layne Geisler, Elizabeth Geisler and Riley Smith; his great grandchildren, William Jeremy Gabbard, Stephen Joseph Gabbard, Layla Geisler, Damion Priddy, Dylan Priddy, Devin Priddy, Evie Rouse, Liam Marcum, Mason Marcum, Brynn Knight, Blaire Knight and Penelope Marcum; his great great grandchild Jonah Gabbard; and his brother Frank Harvey Hackworth of Willmington.
