He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall E. Funk and Hilda Dannenberg Funk; and his daughter Theresa Funk. He is survived by: his children, Kela Funk, Deanna Funk, Melanie Wood and Kent "Butch" Wood; and his brothers, Wayne Funk and Larry Funk. He is also survived by four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and two nieces.
