He was predeceased by: his parents, Walker Adams and Juanita Newhouse Adams; his son Brian "B. J." Adams; and his sister Sudie Floyd. He is survived by: his daughters, Tisha Gosnell (Adams), Dennette Lewark (Adams) and Tiffany Grier (Adams); and his sisters, Sherena "Sissy" Hale, Sharon Nutty and Lynnette "Net" Venable (Kenny).
