He was predeceased by: his parents, William N. Stevens and Olive M. Stevens; his brother Kermit Stevens; his half-brother Conrad Jones; and his pets, Ginger, Buddy and Kirby.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Cooper; his stepchildren, Marcie McGraw and Mason G. McGraw; and his sisters-in-law, Chris Jones, Sally Hawke (Tom) and Jan Cooper.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Fayette County Cancer Society or The Humane Society in Dennis' honor.
