He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Plont and Karen Plont; and his wife Bonita Joyce Plont. He is survived by: his children, Ashley Plont, Alex Plont, Jamie Plont (Kaeli) and David J. Plont, Jr.; his grandsons, Luke, Henry Plont and Steven Simpson III; the mother of his children Allyson Thornton; his sisters, Carol Wood-Ketola (Marvin), Amy Plont, Angel Messer, Bertie Anderson, Teresa Plont and Missy; and his cousins, Richard and Michael Plont.
