He is survived by: his close friend Angela Firth of Spontsyvania, Virginia; his children, Lora McGowan of Richmond and David Anthony Firth Jr. (Vera Rider) of Blacksburg, Virginia; his siblings, Robert Firth, William Firth, Roger Creech and Teresa Reedy; his grandchildren, Esmeralda Grace Firth, Nieshia Cook, Brianna Johnson, Ky'Money Johnson, Zoe McIntosh, Justin Johnson and Laila White; and his nieces, Jennifer Sorrell and Paula Kay Firth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
