He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Waddell and Dorothy Rogers Waddell; his wife Diana K. Hahn; his brothers, Bruce and Barry Waddell; his grandson Ross Vicente Waddell; his great grandchild Jameson Colley; and his nephew Doug Wissler.

He is survived by: his children, Jamie, Anessa Waddell of Mooresville, Jason, Tasha Waddell of Covington and Chris Grimes of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Taylor Grizzell, Layne C. Grimes, Hailie Grimes, Kanton Grimes, Ashley Waddell, Seth Waddell, Maria Dampier, Savion Waddell, Maxwell Waddell, Kingston Waddell, Brittany Colley and Caitlin Barns; his great grandchildren, Kooper, Finely Grizzell, Liam Colley, Bennett Colley, Averie Barns, Andrew Barns, Luca Dampier and Lennon Fahie; and his siblings, Kenny (Eleanor Bottoroff), Brian Waddell of Texas, Barton (Sherry Waddell), Jennie Wissler of Peru and Jolene (Bob Smith). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Brad's honor.
