She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Gibson and Marguerite Gibson; her son Joseph Fagan Jr.; and her siblings, Melvin Fredrick Gibson and Marva Jane Perkins.

She is survived by: her sons, Vance Gibson (Christy), Brett Gibson and Derek Gibson (Angela); her grandchildren, Brettney Gibbs, Bud, Michael Gibson, Kylee Gibson, Darian Gibson, Simone Gibson and D'Kyrra Gibson; her great grandchildren, Parker Gibbs, Chesneigh Gibbs, Jensyn Gibbs and Ari'Vaya Gibson; her brother-in-law Dennis E. Perkins Sr.; her stepgrandchildren, Mariah Terera, Derick Terera and Felix Steele; and her pet Sam. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.
