He was predeceased by: his sisters, Peggy Benz and Bobbie Jean Benz. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Butler; his daughter Shanna Maydwell of Fort Wayne; his grandsons, Austin Thomas Robbins (Ashley) of Ohio and Alex Gaskill of Florida; his great grandchild Eren Robbins; and his siblings, William "Scooter" P. Benz of Batesville and Mikiel "Mickie" Hull of Greensburg.
