It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Gene Walker of Commiskey, Indiana, born in Madison, Indiana, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Neal and Margaret Rosetta Kloss Walker; his wife Golda Colber; his daughter Deborah Phillips; his grandson Chad Phillips; his great grandchildren, Grady and Ace Clevenger; and his siblings, Charles "Buddy" Walker, John Lewis Walker, Gilbert Leroy Walker, Chester Walker, Elizabeth Evans, Virginia Handlon, Eva McDowell, Evelyn Walker, Helen Schirmer, Anna Ward, Margaret Ballard, Patricia Walker, Vivian Lavern Creech, Emma Lou Colber and Ruth Cole.
He is survived by: his daughter Shirlee Clevenger (Jerry) of Warsaw, Indiana; his son-in-law Larry Phillips (Deanna Kindred) of Commiskey, Indiana; his grandchildren, Kady Becker (Tyson) of Shanghai, Joseph Clevenger (Gina) of Warsaw and Jonathan Clevenger (Cassie) of Tampa, Florida.; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Josephine, Nolan Becker, Amelia, Emma, Walker Clevenger and Charlotte Clevenger. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and his special friend of 20 years.
