He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Sims and Ethel Cook Sims; and his sisters, Carolyn Herman, Gladys Chirgotis and Inice Sims.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Sims of Commiskey; his children, Paul David Sims Jr. of New York, Jason Sims of New York and Jennifer Eldridge (Samuel) of Hyden; and his siblings, Ken Brock (Amber) of San Diego, Debbie Schmidt of Kenner, Donna Rose Piler of Phoenix, Becky Korhonen of Reno and Mary Chirgotis of Gilbert.
