He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack R. Walters and Rose Ada Walters; and his son Richard Walters. He is survived by: his wife Judith Walters; his son Randall D. Walters (Trish); his grandchildren, Megan Rice, Levi Walters, Amanda, Tommy Sullivan, Gracie Hughes, Shannon and Sharon Walters; his great grandchildren, Alexis Miller, Paige Rice, Hunter and Carson Hughes; his grandchildren, Willow, River, Luna Sullivan, David and Faith Kramer; his sisters, Kathy Compton, Cindy Birkner and Chris Ress; and his daughter-in-law Pam Walters.

Memorial donations in his name may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
