It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Welkie (Columbus, Indiana), born in South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on November 25, 2019, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlo Brown and Leona Brown; her husband Kenneth L. Welkie; and her siblings, Marguerite DeWinter, Lester Brown and Glenn Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Hayes (Dwight) of Columbus, Norman Welkie (Joyce) of St. George and Christine Dombkowski (Kevin) of Oswego, IL; her grandchildren, Gregory Hayes (Krista), Julie Bushong (Michael), Dawn Welkie and Laura Dombkowski; her great grandchildren, Joshua Hayes, Shawn VanRheenan, Christopher Hayes (Jaclyn), Jamie VanRenterghem (Thomas), Nicholas Welkie and Kalee Hayes; her stepgreat-grandchildren, John, Matthew Bedel and Chastity Bushong; and her great great grandchildren, Dakota Hayes, Layton VanRenterghem, Addyson Hayes, Caroline VanRenterghem, Easton Hayes and Jace Towne. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
