He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe B. Brummett and Gertrude H. Stader Brummett; and his brother Kenneth W. Brummett. He is survived by: his children, Suzanne Weddle (Robert) of Columbus, Catherine Sandlin of Seymour and Russell "Rusty" K. Brummett (Cathy) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Jessica Cochran (Adam), Sarah Weddle, Jon Sandlin (Melanie), Joshua Sandlin, Keenan Brummett, Klayton Brummett and Kaitlin Brummett; and his sister Peggy Gilbert (Rick) of Columbus. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or American Cancer Society.
