She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur A. Elliott and Esther Adams Elliott; and her husband James A Tarnow. She is survived by: her children, Ron Poe (Rhonda), Amy Steelman (Wayne LaRue) and Gail Laubsch (Yancy); her stepchildren, Jeffrey Tarnow (Sue) and Deborah Nolen (James); and her sister Marjorie Behning (Fred). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society and Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
