He was predeceased by: his parents, Rothel E. Lovins and Rebecca Lovins (Hood); his son Ronald W. Lovins II; his siblings, Carl Lovins, Goldie Farris, Ada Lovins, Aleda Orlett, Bonnie Garland, Charles Lovins, Ruby Gasteneau, William Lovins, Glenn Lovins, James Lovins, Truman Lovins and Jackie Lovins; and his wife Velma Marie Lovins.
He is survived by: his sons, Rick D. Lovins of Columbus and Donald W. Lovins (Teresa) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Roth Lovins of Indianapolis, Samuel Lovins of Columbus, Matthew Lovins of Columbus and Abigail Lovins of Columbus; and his sister Theresa Lynne Lovelace (Wayne) of Columbus.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Homes and Crematory - Washington St (1029 Washington St, Columbus, IN 47201). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 10:00 PM.
His tenacity and expertise were valued contributions to the industry and a testament to his character.
