It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ronald McGathey of Columbus, Indiana, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on February 13, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel McGathey and Ila McGathey (Harrison); his siblings, Marguerite Dunn, Mildred Burton (Mickey), Robert, Raymond and Roland; and his family Randal McGathey of Boston.
He is survived by: his children-in-law, Christine McGathey (Linda Leszcynski) of Bradenton and Tony Leszcynski of Columbus; his grandchildren, Grace McGathey, Claire Shappell (Eric), Joe Leszcynski, Sara Maggard (Jake) and Michael Leszcynski (Edina Bailey); and his great grandchildren, Kameron, Charlotte, Xander, Irelynn Anders, Malcolm, Theodore and Conrad.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to The Rock or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 East 17th Street, Columbus, Indiana 47201, cards are also available at the funeral home.
