We bid farewell to Roma M. Downen of Columbus, Indiana, born in Metropolis, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 26, 2024 at the age of 95. Roma touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Staten and Rosa Lee Staten (McGowan); and her son-in-law Dr. Richard Funkey. She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Funkey of Columbus, Indiana; and her granddaughters, Melissa of Washington, D. C. and Nichole Funkey of Washington, D. C..
An entombment was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Garland Brook Cemetery (501 N Gladstone Ave, Columbus, IN 47201).
Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana or Asbury United Methodist Church through the funeral home.
