He is survived by: his wife Ruthann Nicol Neff; his children, David J. Neff (Amy), Amy Neff Porter (Bill), Michael A. Neff, Kelly Neff Gosman and Scott A. Neff; and his grandchildren, Billy Porter, Kaylee Porter, Jane Gosman and Ava Gosman.
