He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzie McCawley and Edna Mae Jonson McCawley; his daughters, Shelia McCawley Fields and Glena Faye Redmond; and his siblings, Richard Grider, Russell Grider and Barbara Hattabaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jones; his stepchildren, James Albertson (Susan) of Columbus, Leland Ray Albertson (Joanne Childers) of Columbus, Teresa Dougherty of Columbus and Michael Albertson of Columbus; his children, Betsy Hepburn (Joey) of Hope, Angela Dawn Foist (Eric) of Columbus and Eric Edmonds (Dolly) of Seymour; and his siblings, Roy Allen Grider (Toni) of Columbus, Ronnie Grimesly, Billie Sue Waggoner and Beverly Gross of Scipio. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
