He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh O'Daniel and Theresa O'Daniel (Cruz); his wife Marilyn; and his sister Julie Gay. He is survived by: his children, Kirk O'Daniel (Joy), Kim Yelinek (Steve) and Denise O'Daniel; and his siblings, Margie Mohr, Don O'Daniel and Ruth O'Daniel.
