He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Wininger and Elizabeth A. Hall Wininger; and his brothers, Robert E. "Bob" Wininger and Michael Wininger. He is survived by: his wife Connie S. Swinney Wininger; his sons, Ricky A. Wininger of Greensburg and Travis Scott Wininger (Lexie) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Lindley, Kennedy and Karson Wininger; and his nephews, Jody Littrell, Shawn Wininger, Kevin Wininger and Chad Wininger.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Rittman Family Funeral Home (3855 25th St, Columbus, IN 47203). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Friends wishing to make a memorial contribution in Rick's memory may do so to the Dementia Society of America or to East Columbus Christian Church through the funeral home.
