He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Pitman and Marie Nielsen Pitman; and his sister Joan Birch of Minneapolis, MN.. He is survived by: his children, Jennie Pitman of Indianapolis, Zachary Pitman of Greenwood and Brooke Pitman of Bishop, California..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donate Life America and the North Iowa Area Community College Foundation Roger and Marie Pitman Memorial Scholarship.
