We are sad to announce that on December 11, 2023, at the age of 88, Richard H. Lanham Jr. of Columbus, Indiana, born in Shelbyville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard H. Lanham and Fern Lanham (Lichtenwalter); his sister Nancy Johnson; his brother-in-law Johnny Johnson; and his grandsons, Colton and Clayton Friesner.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Allen; and his children, Dr. Lisa Lanham-Friesner (Rick) and Richard Allen Lanham of Columbus. He is also survived by his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the APMA Educational Foundation Scholarship Fund.
