He was predeceased by: his parents, Noble C. Matlock and Florence D. Sullivan Matlock; and his siblings, Ray, Richard, Keith, Ted Matlock and Wanda Gray.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara S. Grimes; his children, Teresa Damaska (Jon) of Holland, Craig E. Matlock (Sandy) of Bloomington and Melissa Ewen (Scott) of Brown County; his grandchildren, Alyssa Gutknecht (Calvin), Alex Damaska (Abi), Elizabeth Diamond (Evaristo), Drake Cannon (Katina), Emily Damaska, Carter Damaska and Wyatt Ewen; and his sister Donna Pennington of Brown County. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
