With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rebecca Ponder of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on July 4, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Rebecca farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Rebecca is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee and Addie Marie Spears Porter; and her siblings, Sharon Jarrett and Paul Porter. She is survived by: her children, Stacy Heagy of Columbus, Eric Barnhorst (Eden) of North Carolina, Mark Barnhorst (Allissa) of Ft. Wayne and Jesse May of Columbus; her siblings, Marsha William of North Vernon and Darrel Porter (Terry) of Mooresville; and her sister-in-law Deb Porter of Indianapolis. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
