She was predeceased by: her mother Dorothy E. Gambrel; her son Barry Joe Thompson; her great grandchildren, Carter and Mason Thompson; and her brother John Gambrel.
She is survived by: her father Max E. Gambrel; her children, Richard Thompson of Kentucky, Trina Cole of Columbus, IN and Douglas Thompson of Columbus, IN; her siblings, David Gambrel (Linda) of Crothersville, IN, Max Gambrel (Judy) of Seymour, IN, Joe Gambrel (Linda) of Columbus, IN and Kathy Stidham (Steve) of Dudleytown, IN; and her sunshine Teresa M. Turney of North Carolina. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.
