He is survived by: his granddaughter Tara Johnson; his siblings, Mark Mathis, Cathy Ryan, Sheri Chaplin and Michelle Oates; and his siblings-in-law, Peach, Bonnie, Bob, David and Jerry Tolen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
