He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Holtsclaw and Forrest Williams Holtsclaw; and his siblings, Wayne Dale Holtsclaw, Dorothy Parks, Mary Louise Hall and Julie Correne Hoffman (Margaret Goodwin Holtsclaw).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Goodwin; his children, Michael Lee Holtsclaw (Deborah) of Carmel, Mary Lay (Joel) of Columbus and Melissa Irene Dern (Steve) of Lebanon, Ohio; his brother Loren Holtsclaw (Susan) of Bloomfield; and his close friend Connie Schrougham. He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
