She was predeceased by: her parents, Terrell Newsom and Tressie Newsom; her husband Henry F. Day; and her siblings, Parker Newsom, Aileen Chitwood and Sarah Elizabeth.

She is survived by: her children, Beverly Clark (Joe), Mark Day (Cathy) and Rick Day (Vicki); her grandchildren, Seann Day (Rachel), Samantha Surfus (Scott), Shannon Day (Debbie), Tracy Smith (Jason), Jennifer Madden (Chris), Kari Clark and Kolby Baty (Trevor); her great grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, Megan, Lincoln, Lila, Hank and Hallie; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Zach, Lexi, Madi and Dillon.
