She was predeceased by: her husband Buddy Banister; her parents, Louie Miller and Frances Miller; her son-in-law Larry Jones; and her siblings, Vivian Taggart, Margaret Ann Miller, Kay Dougherty, Jean Trendleman, Marshall Dean Miller, Gerald Miller and Kevin Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Angela Jones of Shelbyville, Bob Banister (Sandy) of Columbus and Tom Banister (Teresa) of Columbus; her grandchildren, Brian Jones of Shelbyville, Jessie Hyde (Mike) of Greenwood, Ashley Haywood (Brett) of Celebration, Lauren Banister of Celebration, Caroline Turi (Christopher) of Carmel, Chase Banister (Hannah) of Columbus, Brooke Banister of Fargo and Emily Banister of New York; her great grandchildren, Molly, Bennett, Annie Hyde, Jack Haywood and Thomas Turi; and her siblings, Brenda Roszak (John) of Paisley, Peggy Furanna (Richard) of Milford, James Miller (Cynthia) of Columbus, John Miller (Brenda) of Brown County and Steve Miller (Barb) of Brown County. She is also survived by her three children, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Homes and Crematory - W. Jonathan (4205 Jonathan Moore Pike, Columbus, IN 47201). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to First Christian Church.
