He was predeceased by: his parents, Gelotus Gorbett and Lena E. Timbrook Gorbett; his son David Lee Gorbett; his brothers, Kenneth Gorbett and Leon Gorbett; and his stepgrandson Jordan A. Thompson.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Gorbett (Renee) of Columbus and Doug Gorbett (Kathy) of Madison, IN; and his stepchildren, Donna Thompson (Mark) of Columbus, Aaron Thompson (Bretta) of Greenwood and Mara Moore of Columbus. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Hickory Creek of Columbus, Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, or Alzheimer's Association.
