She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred V. Gillaspy and Margaret Keaton Gillaspy; her husband Squire T. Best; and her siblings, John Gillaspy, Mary Gillaspy and Carolyn Speer.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice K. Taylor (Steve) of Columbus; her grandson Jeffrey Taylor (Sara) of Columbus; and her great grandchildren, Ryan and Logan Taylor. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorials may be made to Hartsville Church of Christ, the First Christian Church Preschool or the donor's choice of charity.
