It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Adaline Cummins-Schaefer (Columbus, Indiana), born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on October 3, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Thanks to her groundbreaking efforts, Margaret was commissioned a Kentucky Cornel in 1984 and won the first ever Indiana University Grotke Award for exceptional contributions to IU athletics in 2008.
