With solemn reverence, we commemorate Lester A. England of Columbus, Indiana, whose life came to an end on March 10, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. England and Dorothy M. Shirley England; his wife JoAnn Weddle; his siblings, Roger England and Wanda Coy; his grandsons, Logan Mason and Brian England; his son-in-law Joe Sweet; and his brothers-in-law, Carl Whittington and Michael Ferrenburg.
He is survived by: his close friend Linda L. Perry; his children, Christopher L. England (Diane) of Taylorsville, Tony D. England (Jill) of Hope, Leslie R. Smith (Jerry) of Columbus, Elizabeth A. Orr (Michael) of Columbus, Randy S. England of Camp Hill and Lisa D. Sweet of Florida; his sisters, Betty Whittington and Jeanette Ferrenburg; and his sister-in-law Catherine England. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Homes and Crematory - Washington St (1029 Washington St, Columbus, IN 47201). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:40 AM at the Garland Brook Cemetery (501 N Gladstone Ave, Columbus, IN 47201).
