We are sad to announce that on October 28, 2024, at the age of 84, Larry Duane Ashley of Columbus, Indiana, born in Effingham, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jasper and Mabel Ashley (Haney); and his siblings, William, Ronald, Terry Ashley, Shirley Fowler and Carol Jean Franklin.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ashley; his son Scott Hamilton Ashley (Melissa Kay); his sisters, Joyce Shull and Mabel Ann Hess; his grandchildren, Sylvia Marie Wolka (Adam Jonathon) and Ethan Wallace Ashley; and his great grandchild Adelaide Grace Wolka.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rittman Family Funeral Home (3855 25th St, Columbus, IN 47203). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Bridges of Peace.
