He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar L. Sowders and Kathleen Stephenson Sowders; and his siblings, Steve Sowders, Rheadawn Inman, Norma Bridwell and Patricia Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Randy D. Sowders (Robin) of Greensburg, Kathy L. Mann of Columbus and Sandy R. Asher (Dan) of Columbus; his brothers, Brad Sowders of Bedford and Scott Sowders of Bloomington; and his grandchildren, Justin Mann, Boone Asher, Delmar Andrew Sowders, Clay Asher, Jenna Malinsky, Trevor Sowders and Samuel Asher. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
