He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Leonard and Renda Mae Johnson Slinker; his wife Eva Nell Gentry; and his siblings, Don Slinker, Gary Slinker, Bob Slinker, Juanita Rose, Barbara Jacobs and Martha Manco.
He is survived by: his children, Jason T. Slinker (Jennifer), Melissa A. West (Christopher) of Franklin and Amy L. Donica (Paul) of Greenwood; his grandchildren, Macy Stephan (Kenyon), Mallory, Madison, Mackenzie West, Emily, Cole, Isabelle Donica, Alexis Slinker and Noah Slinker; his great grandchild Aiden Slinker; and his siblings, Jim Slinker (Pam) of Seymour and Shirley Kenner of Florida.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Roudebush VA Medical Center thru the funeral home.
