With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Larry Dean Baack (Columbus, Indiana), born in Sidney, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Larry Dean left this world on July 20, 2024 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Baack and Olga Baack; his wife Marilyn Bettmann; and his brother Allen. He is survived by: his children, Joleen Krueger (Scott) of Columbus, Randy Baack (Jill) of Seward, NE, Darrin Baack (Jessica) of Belleville, IL and Korry Baack (Erika) of Washington, D. C.; his sisters, Donna Carr of Montgomery, TX and Pam Jensen (Paul) of Lincoln, NE; and his grandchildren, Anna Briggs (Ross), Abby Baack of Seward, NE, Emily, Landon, Kaelyn, Nolan Baack of Belleville, IL, Chloe, Sophie and Liam Krueger of Columbus.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran School (memo: Athletic Fund).

“Larry was a 1962 classmate of mine from Concordia, Seward. Not only that, but I served as his principal from 1982-88. He and Marily were good friends and we have stayed in contact over the years. Larry personally contacted me via phone every 4 or 5 months to give information about classmates or how St Peter School was doing. Larry would give you the shirt off his back. He would also eat chicken until the bones would glisten. Because of age Elise and I will not make the funeral. G & E Locke”
