He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Kenneth and Verba V. Beatty Abel; and his sister Katherine Knulf. He is survived by: his daughter Terri Brackett (Jeff) of Virginia Beach, VA; his close friend Nancy J. Samper of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Ali, Matt, Jordan and Lauren.
