He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard F. Schmidt and Esther J. Raus Schmidt; and his brothers, Harv Schmidt, William Schmidt and Robert Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Yolanda S. Schmidt of Columbus; his daughters, Tara Anton (Bob) and Gretchen Voyles (Andrew); and his grandchildren, Ella Voyles, Kayla, Alissa Anton, Allisan Voyles, Ben Anton and Lucas Voyles.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given through the funeral home to Second Presbyterian Church or Keystone Hospice.
