She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Abell and Velva Abell; her husband John William Carr (Bill); and her siblings, Martha Norris and Lawrence Abell.

She is survived by: her sons, William Dennis Carr (Sandra) of Columbus, Randall Wayne (Cindy) of Montgomery, IN, Kevin Joe (Lissa) of Columbus and Jon Anthony (Stephanie) of Columbus; her sister Betty Moorman; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Abell and Wilbert Carr (Shirley). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren, 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Memorial Donations in her name may be made to American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
