She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter J. Spence and Nellie Lee Goodin Spence; and her great grandchildren, Damen Kinman and Cecilia Perez. She is survived by: her children, Huston Spence (Barbara) of Shelbyville, Julie Bauer (William) of Columbus, Bradley Hignite (Debra) of Fort Wayne, Kenny Hignite (Andrea) of Shelbyville and Stacy Dobson (Rick) of Shelbyville; and her sisters, Sheila Runner (Jim) of Columbus and Deborah Wilson (David) of Ogilville. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
