It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jonathan Leroy Hoover (Columbus, Indiana), who passed away on October 2, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hoover and Marie McKinney Hoover; his former wife Wanda Hoover; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Ogle and Ed Ness.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Johns; his children, Irvin Hoover (Becky Vires) of Greensburg, Allen Hoover (Melody) of Hope, Rita Huddleston (Jeff) of Elizabethtown, James Hoover (Joanna Monroe) of Columbus, Anna Walter (Andy) of Clarksville and Jonathan Hoover of Columbus; and his siblings, David Hoover (Sue) of Columbus, Delilah Ogle of Columbus, Rebecca Graham (Pete) of North Vernon, Leah Jackson (Veral) of Brown County, Martha Ness of Columbus, Mary Sharpe (David) of Taylorsville and Naomi Frazee (George) of North Vernon. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
