With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jessie J. Mings of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on September 15, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Brown and Hazel Coy Brown; her husband Walter L. Mings; her daughter Debbie Shelton; her great grandchild Kaylee Hockman; and her siblings, Evelyn Shephard, Betty Pratt, Buddy Brown and Charles Brown.
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis Mings (Brenda Stidham) of Columbus, Darrell Mings of Columbus and Anthony Mings (Tina Pinkerton) of Salem; her grandchildren, Christopher Mings (Heather), Jessica Mings, William Andrew Mings (Keisha), Jason Shelton (Beverly), Tiffany Shelton, Tyler Mings (Amber Martin) and Cole Mings; and her brother Walter "Junny" Brown (Jerry). She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
