She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Lane and Betty Rathsman Lane. She is survived by: her husband Gordon Merrill of Columbus; her children, Gregory Merrill (Kendal) of Tennessee, Sarah Kreitzer (Cliff Nelson) of Ohio, Matthew Kreitzer (Kelly) of Virginia, Bethany Merrill of Tennessee and Jeremy Merrill (Ashley) of Tennessee; her granddaughter Hazel Nelson of Ohio; and her brothers, Mike Lane (Jackie) of Columbus and Mark Lane of Columbus.

In keeping with Jeannette's wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association to support women's heart health.
