It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Owens Jr. of Columbus, Indiana, born in Seymour, Indiana, who passed away on December 28, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father James Owens Sr.; and his sister Bridgit Owens. He is survived by: his mother Serilda Anne Bedel Gay; his spouse Linde Ann Caraker-Owens; his children, James Owens III (Lindsey) of Franklin, Travis Owens (Brooke) of Indianapolis, Robert Caraker (Gretchen) of York, Angela Grant (John) of Illinois and Valerie Caraker of Cobden, Illinois; his siblings, Charlie Owens of Columbus, Patrick Owens of Norman, Phil Owens (Michelle) and Tracey Ayers of Brownstown; and his grandchildren, Landon Owens (Taleigha) of Scottsburg, Bella Owens of Indianapolis and Khovvr Owens of Scottsburg.
Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
