With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James E. Shead of Columbus, Indiana, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on May 31, 2020 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James E. and Frances Allene Miles Shead Sr.; his wife Pam Shead; his children, Michael Shead (Regina) of Louisville, Dewayne Shead (Emma) of Atlanta, Georgia, Chad Shead of Columbus and Brandon Gabbard of Columbus; his daughter-in-law Donnielle Shead of San Antonio, Texas; his grandchildren, Michael Lewis, Michaela, Myciah, Michael Shead Jr., Dewayne Shead Jr., Donte, Devaughn, DeShawn, Martez, Terrell, Jeniqua, Deishaun and Kiana; his brother-in-law Jimmy Huff (Tashia); his nieces, Ashley, Darian and Natalie; and his nephew Chris Brown (Stephanie). He was also cherished by 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
