He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Burton and Thelma Burton; his children, Michele Emily and David Burton; his siblings, Patsy Settle and Kenneth Burton; and his nephew Bruce Burton.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn J. Smith; his son Mark Burton (Elaine); his children-in-law, Alma Jean Burton and Dennis Emily; his grandchildren, Evan Burton (Beth), Alicia Long (Emerson), Aran Nading (April) and Melanie Nading; his great grandchildren, Sophia Doepp, Madeline Long and Bryson Long; and his siblings, Donald Burton (Jeannie) and Diana Bennett (Bill). He is also survived by niece and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
