With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jack F. Herring of Columbus, Indiana, born in Phil Campbell, Alabama, who passed away on May 27, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd F. Herring and Lucille Jackson Herring; his former wife Joan M. Bennett; and his sister Patty Hundley. He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Fugate; his daughters, Debbie Mann (Jim) of Columbus, Kim Middleton (Alan) of Columbus and Janice Merris (David) of Indianapolis; his stepsons, Samuel Fugate Jr. (Tracy) and Daniel Fugate (Susie) of Terre Haute; his grandchildren, Ryan Mann (Kristen), Logan Mann, Amanda Gonzalez (Gus), Abby Herene (Dan), Ali Merris and Andrew Merris; his stepgrandchildren, Sarah Campbell (Mark), Cortney Galbraith, Casha Jackson (Chris), Zachary Fugate (Mari), Jacob Fugate (Shelby) and Joshua Fugate; and his sister Bev Mundt. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
